Oleta River State Park, North Miami

Wow!  We are anchored right near a beach!  Just what I have been waiting for!  Can't wait to dive in!  Only, since we have arrived, we've had rain and a cold spell.  Still, very beautiful to look at!  This anchorage is wonderful and full of life!  There are tons of people on kayaks (we can rent them - so as soon as it warms up.....) and lots of paddle boarders (not for me - wouldn't even be able to stand up on one with my sore knees)!

Scott, a friend from Md. at our marina and his friend, greeting us when we anchored.

One of our chores is to go to a marina to get fuel, water and a pump out.  When we went to a marina across from the anchorage, I found a commercial fisherman selling his catch from the day.  Wow!  I bought some Spanish Mackerel from him.  This was our dinner that night - very fresh fish, broccoli and spaghetti squash (sorry - it got eaten before I thought of taking a photo!)  Scott came over to enjoy dinner that night.

Mine, Mine, Mine......

Mine!
The heads and guts of the fish were thrown into the water to a flurry of pelicans just waiting for their turn for a tidbit or two or three......!

This is what we woke up to one morning...crows were on all the boats around us, including us, only Ed shooed them off our boat in fear of them breaking our antenna on top.  We woke to a lot of "singing"!

The sky the morning of the birds!
