Oleta River State Park (Cont.#4)

Ed and I took a trip to town to pick up our boat decals from the post office.  Sarah very kindly packaged them up from home (they came in after we left home in December), and took them to the post office to have them delivered overnight to us.  We needed them before crossing over to the Bahamas.  To do this was an adventure in itself.  Bill drove us by dinghy to the FIU sandy beach (we weren't allowed to dock the dinghy there but could be dropped off), we walked to the parking lot, called for an Uber car and then off we went to the post office.  Went very smoothly.

This is the college that is along the shore of our anchorage.  It has a beautiful campus with some very interesting sculpture around the campus.

Across from the Post Office was Laurenzo's Italian-American Market.  We went in and eyed all the wonderful Italian products!  Fresh made pasta, etc.!  It reminded me of an Italian market my Uncle Rosario owned years ago!

We then went on to walk 6 blocks to Walmart.  Along the way we saw some beautiful flora.

Looks like a wrestling match between a vine and a palm tree.

Stopped to eat lunch at a local Chinese restaurant.  Exquisite decor around the place.

We had a pleasant excursion and made it back to Dolce Vita tired but accomplished!
