Last Day in Bimini

This is the last day of our stay in Bimini.  We were here a couple of days longer than planned due to a storm.  Spent the day preparing for the trip and seeing our friends who were also leaving for their own routes.
Adding fuel to the tan, one jug at a time.

This is Spence who was across from us on the same pier.  He and his friend were on the friend's Dad's boat.  They did a lot of fishing and ended up with more Wahoo than they could eat.  Spence gave us a bag full of Wahoo which we thoroughly enjoyed eating!

This was CJ's which was a small place to eat right off the beach.

There was no free potable water on the island so we'd buy it from this place which was next to our marina.  $1.00 a gallon and it was very refreshing.

We spent the evening visiting with our friends from Oleta River State Park (the Oleta Gang)!

Very tired Admiral Joan

Very good friend, Bill

Spence's friend had a light under his boat which attracted fish.  We spent about an hour just watching the fish swim under his boat, our boat and under the dock.  Amazing what we saw!  There was a huge hermit crab that had a conch shell as his home.  Lots of squid, other small fish, a barracuda, a very large ray with only half a tail and a very huge shark!  It was better than TV!

a Ray

A very large Bull Shark (that's our boat rudder on the left!)
