Good morning, Sunshine!  We got up at 5 am, although I didn't rise until 5:30 am.  First order of business -  breakfast and a planned early departure.  Guess what?   Broken refrigeration - compression problem.  Ed is spending his time now in the sail locker trying to figure things out! Wish us luck!

Refrigeration Numbers that were not what they should have been!

In the sail locker testing all kinds of theories.  Where was all the stuff from the locker?  Everywhere in and out of the cockpit!

Being at Solomon's, we stand a better chance of solving this problem and getting parts if needed.  A very nice person, Chuck, answered our call for help at  Zanheiser's Marina.  It turns out that it wasn't the compressor but the controller for it.  We were both thrilled that we can be on our way again tomorrow - yes - another 5 am wake up call.  Ed was especially thrilled with Chuck because he was able to learn a lot more about refrigeration.

Me?   I was ecstatic because I could finally take a shower - the first since Saturday!  That is the next thing that needs fixing - the pump!  I wish I could talk Ed into staying another day to get the pump fixed.

Busy making curtains (finally!) for the boat.  Utilizing my time while waiting for the repair to be done!  This was after the shower!  You should have seen my hair - but, then, I wouldn't have posted this picture!

Once we were all fixed up with the new controller, we stayed the night and left the next morning.  We did our usual chores of getting water, a pump out and then we needed fuel.  Herrington Harbor had everything we needed except the fuel.  Their sister harbor, Herrington Harbor South, had the fuel.  So, off we went.

The illustrious Captain taking us across the way to get fuel!

Both of these harbors were beautiful!

I loved the flags that the harbors displayed!

Lots of big ships around!

  1. Glad you're underway. Hope all the problems are taken care of. We had a wonderful trip to Spain and Portugal. Came home with an annoying cold. Sally has her knee surgery today. Haven't heard anything yet. Wishing you a wonderful trip, Mary
