Did you think I forgot all of you?  This is the first time we have had wifi since we left shore on Saturday.  Keeping up with the blog will be sporadic at best.

We're off!  We said we were leaving and, for the first time in 3 weeks, we were true to our word!  Saturday was the big send off!  To see us off, Bill and Lisa, and Jim and Faith came by our dock to wish us a Bon Voyage!  What a great way to start a trip - nice weather and good friends!

As is our usual, the wind was coming from the South - the same direction we were headed - which meant motoring and no sailing.  Hopefully, somewhere, there will be just the right amount of wind in the right direction so we can exercise the sails!  It was a gorgeous day with lots of sun.   We traveled about 28 nautical miles to the Rhode River where we found Pope and Amber working on their boat at their marina!  I love to run into friends!  They took us to a small restaurant, the Bayside Inn, in Edgewater for dinner.  Very yummy!

They have their boat at a lovely marina, Blue Water Marina.  The owner kindly let us use an extra slip for the night.

Our goal was to leave the next morning around 9 am and head towards Solomon's Island.  As luck would have it, ...........   to be continued in next blog!
